Elizabeth “Liz” Bergeron is excited to announce her intent to run in the 2022 Primary Election.
For years county government and certain members of the County Commissioners have forgotten whom they serve. This and the lack of accountability in La Porte County are why Liz believes enough is enough.
Liz Bergeron will be running in the May 2022 primary as a Republican candidate for County Commissioner District 1.
Liz is looking forward to meeting her county neighbors and learning what their concerns are, from county employment to ditch cleaning. She wants to learn from you!
Liz Bergeron has been a resident of La Porte County for 18 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the law enforcement, insurance and financial, IT, and social services positions she has held. She currently works as an Indiana Medicaid Waiver Case Manager, working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Confident that the professional and educational experiences and abilities that she can bring to the position are unique and unmatched by current officeholder or potential candidates, Liz does not want to see any resident continue to feel unheard and wants to serve La Porte County. “I am excited to run for this seat so the voices of La Porte County’s first district can be represented by conservative values again,” Elizabeth said.
Liz Bergeron holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in public health. Liz is married to local podcaster and candidate Dion Bergeron, and together they have five children ages 25 to 14. Liz is a volunteer with La Porte County Special Olympics Pickleball.
